CHARLES E. CHARLIE MORGAN Charles Edward Morgan, age 76, died Wednesday, March 03, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. Services will be held Friday, March 05, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Whitney officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian MS. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, March 04, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mr. Morgan was born on Tuesday, November 07, 1933 in Mize, MS to the late Charles Brunson and Louise Graham Morgan Cato. He was a member and deacon at Grace Baptist Church and attended Fairview Baptist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a former employee of South Central Bell and the retired owner/operator of Morgan Trophies and Gifts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother Nell Morgan. Survivors include his wife Wanda B. Morgan Columbus, MS and one son Charles Craig Morgan, Lexington, KY. The Pallbearers will be Billy Price, Bill King, Bob Gray, Wayne McLemore, Paul Thorne, Danny Thornton, Fred Bell, and Jason Steel. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Brewer, Ed Markham, and Chalma Whitaker In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 708 Airline Rd., Columbus, MS 39702 or Fairview Baptist Church, 127 Airline Rd., Columbus MS 39702.
