Jackie L. Burks Sr. Aberdeen Mississippi - Jackie L. Burks Sr. 68 died September 21, 2005 at North MS Medical Center,Tupelo MS. Mr. Burks was born on October 29, 1936 in Grubb Springs MS to the late Millard V. and Velma Young Burks. He was a member of East End Baptist Church and a Viet Nam war veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force and retiring with a rank of CW4 with the U.S. Army. He was also retired from Amerian Trouser and a member of the Amercian Legion. Funeral services will be Sunday September 25, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. from Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill Duncan and assisted by Rev. Gary Walker officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include Wife of 50 years Charlotte C. Burks of Aberdeen MS, Daughters: Karen B. Ford (Artis) of Starkville MS, Angela B. Mitchell (Johnny) of Columbus MS, Sons: Jackie L. Burks Jr. (Libby) of Cullman AL, Terry Burks of Huntsville AL. Grandchildren: Matthew and Caroline Burks, Zachary and Nathan Ford, Anna, John, and Jullian Mitchell. Brother: Charles Burks of Aberdeen MS. Pallbearers will be Glenn Thompson, Ben Ogden, Walter Worthy, Walter Wickham, Larry Esler, John Dillon Honorary Pallbearers will be staff and employees of American Trouser.
