Anna Peeples Hardy McIntyre, age 57, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus. Funeral Services, with Father James Carlyle officiating, will be Tuesday, September 18 at 11:30am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with burial to follow in Jennings Cemetery in Lowndes County, Ms. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00am until service time in the Earline Robertson Room at St. Paul's. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The daughter of the late John Bailey Hardy, Sr. and Florentine Boyd Hardy, Anna was born September 19, 1949 in Columbus. She was a 1967 graduate of S.D. Lee Senior High School, and she also graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a degree in Fine Arts in 1971. She later received a degree in Interior Design and in 1995 became a professional member of the American Society of Interiors Designers. A lifelong member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Anna was a member of Magowah Gun and Country Club, serving on the Board of Directors. She was also a member of The Pioneer Society, Columbus Garden Club, Town and Country Garden Club, Billups-Garth Foundation, Junior Auxiliary of Columbus and was a founding member of Studio 206. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Allen Boyd Hardy and her father-in-law W. H. McIntyre. She is survived by her husband Sam Ray McIntyyre; brother and sister-in-law John Bailey Hardy, Jr. and Charon; sister-in-law Mary Ann Hardy, all of Columbus; nephews John David Hardy (Lindsey), Mobile, Al and Allen Boyd Hardy, Columbus; nieces Lucy Charlotte Hardy, Memphis, Tn; Anna Erin Hardy Beller (David), Nashville, Tn; Madeline Frances Hardy, Emma Bailey Hardy and Hanna Cathryn Hardy; mother-in-law Mrs. William Henry McIntyre, all of Columbus; brothers-in-law Bill McIntyre(Susan) of New Orleans, La; Dr. Mike McIntyre(Wanda), Scott McIntyre(Deena), and Bob McIntyre, all of Columbus; nieces Frances McIntyre Knight(Will)of Greenwood, Ms;Rowanne McIntyre McKnight (Jay) of Nashville, Tn; Sarah Barrett of New Orleans; Evelyn Claire McIntyre and nephew Thomas McIntyre, both of Columbus. Pallbearers will be John David Hardy, Boyd Hardy, David Beller, Mark Hardy, Andy Boyd, and Thomas McIntyre. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 318 College Street, Columbus, Ms 39701, or to a favorite charity.
