Josephine Carolyn Josie Williams Lockler age 74, formerly of Columbus, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at Baldwyn Nursing Facility in Baldwyn, MS. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Services will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home with Brian Atkins officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. The daughter of the late Brady Eugene and Willie Pearl Williams Williams, Mrs. Lockler was born January 24, 1937 in Columbus. She was a longtime member of 7th Street Church of Christ, a member of Red Hat Society and was employed for a short time at Beneke Corporation. She was the widow of Hollie Clay Lockler, who died January 5, 1975. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Annie Pearl Taylor and two brothers Brady E. Williams, Jr. and Stanley Williams. Mrs. Lockler is survived by her four daughters Billie Jo Culver (Quitman) of Verona, MS; Helen Mullinax (Eddie) of Meridian, MS; Carolyn Rodgers of Verona, MS and Debbie Montoya (Lorenzo) of Pueblo, CO; her three sons Douglas Lockler (Lorinda) of Shannon, MS, Ricky Lockler (Carey) of Baldwyn, MS and Allen Redmon of OH. She is also survived by a sister Abigal Bolen of Columbus and a brother James Williams (Ruby) of Steens, MS, twenty- two grandchildren and twenty- two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jay Mullinax, Charles Mullinax, Eddie Wayne Mullinax, Austin Lewis, Todd Lewis and Jeff Parson, Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation of MS, 800 Avery Blvd., Suite 100, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
