Norma Estelle James, age 75, of Columbus, MS, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 14, 2010, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. M. L. "Buddy" James officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens. The visitation will also be Sunday, March 14, 2010, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. James was born September 25, 1934, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Edwin and Olive Margaret Brown Reeds. She retired after working a number of years at McCoy Manufacturing in Caledonia and always cared for others and had a caring spirit. Mrs. James was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed NASCAR and her pet dog, Mitzy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Craig Franklin. Survivors include her husband, Charles D. "Don" James of Columbus, daughters, Brenda Houser of Caledonia and Linda G. Ashley (Lee) of Columbus, son Mark David Franklin of AR, brother, Robert Reeds of CO, grandchildren, Jamie Presson (Ben), Tommy G. Houser, Craig D. Houser, Justin L. Ashley, LeAnna G. Ashley, and Lindsey K. Ashley, and great grandchildren, Kayden D. Presson and Justin Lee Ashley, Jr. Pallbearers will be Bill Plunk, John Bino, Jeff Dalhous, Ben Presson, David Bush, and Lee Ashley.
