Willeen Reid Murray age 81 died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Regency Hospital in Meridian MS. Services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home with Minister Joel Ellis and Minister Aubrey Belue officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Murray was born on Tuesday, August 30, 1927 in Columbus, MS to the late Howard and Mildred Downs Reid. She was a member of the East Columbus Church of Christ and a retired employee of Columbus Marble Works and Weight Watchers. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband L. E. Murray Jr. and her sister Weeta Cash. Survivors include her four sons Michael Reid Murray (Guin), Woodstock, AL, Howard Wayne Murray, Columbus, MS, Gary Arthur Murray (Sandra), Columbus, MS and Steven Craig Murray (Debbie), Columbus, MS; two sisters: Jena McDonald, Columbus, Ms and Wilda Wright (Billy), Columbus, MS. She is also survived by three grandchildren Michelle Davis, Steven Murray and Thomas Murray, and two great grandchildren Breonna Davis and Anson Davis. The Pallbearers will be Will Spann, Tom Holley, Craig O'Steen, Brent Hollis, Steve Chism, and Jerry Green. The Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Butler, Eldon Barham, Clyde Hollis, Jay McCrary, Wade McCrary, Wade Woods, Dr. Lance Busch, and Dr. Michael Boland.
