John Wesley Moore Douglasville Georgia - John Wesley Moore 44 died April 9, 2006 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville GA. John was born on May 6, 1961 to the late Billy James Moore Sr. and Dorothy Hawkins Moore. John was a 1979 graduate of Caledonia High School and attended 2 years at EMCC then 2 years at Mississippi State University earning a degree in Foresty and related subjects. After graduating from MSU John worked for Weyerhauser then to Monsanto. In 1991 he became a part of the Summitt Helicopter Team. Summitt Helicopters is based out of Roanoke Virginia and John was the Applications Manager for the Southeastern Region. John had a phenominal love of life and people, he had a big heart and would help anybody at anytime, he never met a stranger. John was especially known for his strong work ethic. His customers and co-workers were always impressed with his professional and caring attitude. In the end everyone was John's friend. In addition to is father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ben and Mamma Hawk Hawkins, his paternal grandparents Ezra and Viola Moore and his uncle Eugene Owen "Jack" Hawkins. Funeral services will be Thursday April 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Harding and Minister Joel Ellis officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday April 12, 2006 6:30 until 8:30 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include: Mother: Dorothy H. Moore of Columbus MS Sister: Terri Stockman (Chuck) of Caledonia MS, Brother: Billy James Moore Jr. of Sulligent AL. Nieces: Allison Davis, Jessica Stockman, and Jennifer Stockman, companion: Barbara Parks, former wife: Candy Moore Clifton, aunt: Willodean Hawkins, cousins: Gene, Lorene, Michael and John Hawkins Pallbearers will be Mike West, Stanley Taggart, Myron Akins, Fred Chappell, Mike Langford, Greg Wheat. Honorary Pallbearers will be Walt Willis, Bob Francis, Bob Edson, Billy Moore,, Tracy Moore, Jerry McAfee, Bobby Tartt,, Wendell Robinson, Greg Davis, Jerry Green,, Gene Hawkins, Chuck Stockman, Ron Jackson,, Bill McAllister, Joe Deaton, Jim Carlton,, Carl Milco, Doug Clayton, Clyde Hollis,, Jay McCrary, Joel Ellis, Aubry Belue,, John Lewis Hawkins and Tommy Collier.
