MILFORD F. STUMPF Milford Franklin Stumpf Age 67 died September 7, 2008 at Homeplace Assisted Living. Services will be held at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Terry Maynard Officiating, burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again Wednesday one hour prior to service at the church. Mr. Stumpf was born in Newark, New Jersey on December 1, 1940 to the late Milford Frank and Dorothy Themann Stumpf. He was a member of Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He received his bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He served as Vice President of Universal Development Corporation in Birmingham for 17 years, then moved to Columbus and began working for Weyerhaeuser Pulp and Paper and retired after 10 years as a Maintenance Engineer in 1999. Pallbearers are Joe Studdard, Larry Jeona, Johnny Thacker, Kenny Hollis, Ross Burnett, and Ralph Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Homeplace of Columbus. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Katherine Sharp Stumpf and his step-mother Jessie Toomey Stumpf. Survivors include: Daughter -Susanne Cunningham (Jeff) of Columbus, Miss. Son -Frank Stumpf (Tami) of Columbus, Miss. Brother -William Themann Stumpf of Charlotte, N.C.
