CATHERINE HANKS Catherine Duncan Hanks age 87 died Monday, November 26, 2012 at Windsor Place Nursing & Rehab Center in Columbus. Services will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Elbert Wheat officiating, burial will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Mrs. Hanks was born on Monday, April 27, 1925 in Shelby, MS to the late Greenberry and Bell Rickman Wood. She was a member of Columbus Church of Christ was a homemaker, and loved to sew. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wilson Hanks, her sisters Lola Taggart, and Lois Duncan, and her brothers, Wiley and George Wood. Survivors include: Sister: Edna Salzer, of Columbus Nephews: Raymond Taggart of Memphis,TN Stanley Taggart of Columbus, MS Nieces: Mary Calahand, of Columbus, MS Faye Greggs, of Columbus, MS Shirley Delk, of Steens, MS Vickie Dvorak, of Caledonia, MS Doris Sims, of Columbus, MS Sue McAdams, of Vernon, AL Betty Ann Hildreth, of Vernon, AL Rowena Smith, of Vernon, AL The Pallbearers will be: Alex Sims, Rodney Dvorak, Michael Dvorak, Michael Hildreth, Ricky Hardin, Clint Sims, Josh Rogers, and Chris Gardner
