Jack Tillman Christopher, age 78, passed away Wednesday, November 03, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS. Services will be held Saturday, November 06, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Chaplain Steve Brown and Rev. Terrell Maynard will officiate the service, with a military funeral honors ceremony following at the church cemetery. Jack was born on Tuesday, May 24, 1932, in Lowndes County, MS, to the late Ben and Annie Alexander Christopher. He graduated in 1950 from New Hope High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and retired after 30 years of service with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After serving his country, Jack worked at Beloit for 8 ½ years, Dyncorp for 4 years, and was the co-owner of Chiefs Small Engine repair for 8 years. He was a member of Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Lions Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Ginger and Buddy Yeatman.
