NARVAH PARTAIN DUNCAN Narvah Partain Duncan Age 98 passed away March 2, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus. Services will be held at Border Springs Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Bro. David Westmoreland and Bro. Glen Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Cemetery. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church. Mrs. Duncan was born March 5, 1910 in Madison County, MS to the late Cauthen C. and Emagene Milton Linn. She married John Harvey Partain in 1928, and after his death married Andy Kirksey Duncan in 1940, and has made Caledonia, MS her home for 81 years. Mrs Duncan retired from Caledonia Manufacturing Company and was a faithful member of Border Springs Baptist Church where she was the oldest living member, and was a member of Women on Missions. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded her sister Katholeen Linn Duncan, and brothers, James M. Linn, W.A. Linn, John Linn, and Sam Linn. Survivors include: Daughter-Barbara June Duncan Beatty (Wilburn) of Columbus, Miss. Daughter-Emma Jane Duncan Wiggins (Mitchell) of Caledonia, Miss. step daughter-Floy Partain York of Fayetteville, Ark. Son-John Harvey Partain, Jr. (Mary Nell) of Caledonia, Miss. Son-Edward Jeffery Duncan (Robin) of Columbus, Miss. Sister-Jean Linn Lockhart of Columbus, Miss. Brother-Robert Linn of Caledonia, Miss. Grandchildren -Harold Wayne Partain -Wanda Partain McKnight -Marissa Beatty Mordente -Michelle Beatty Tucker -Kimberly Duncan Loncar -Rebecca Duncan -Mitch Wiggins -Elizabeth York McNair -Margaret York Mitchell 12-Great grandchildren 2-Great Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews- Mrs. Duncan loved her family, friends, and church family. She never met a stranger and had a wonderful outgoing personality that drew people to her. She will be missed by her family who loved and adored her.
