Columbus, Ms - Margaret Keasler Hicks, 81, died May 3, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. Mrs. Hicks was born on February 12, 1925 in Pickens County Alabama to the late Elbert Earl and Ida Williams Keasler. She was a sweet and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was retired from United Tech and a member of Ethelsville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hicks; son, Robert E. Hicks; and brother, Joe E. Keasler. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Jaynes and Wanda Hamby (Glenn), both of Columbus; son, Gerald (Jerry) Hicks of Jackson, Ms; grandchildren, Kristie Baucom, Heater Harrison (Freddie), and Brandi Baucom, and Bryan Jaynes (Tracie); great-grandchildren, Adrian Baucom, Haleigh Jaynes, Emily Harrison, Akayla Sherrod, Mya Sherrod; 5 step-great grandchildren and 2 step-great-great grandchildren. Mike Dodd, Bill Brown, Thomas McCrary, Perry Bostick, Heath Bostick, and Gerry Mithcell will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Bryan Jaynes, Freddie Harrsion, Glenn Hamby, Howard Walden, the staff of Aurora Nursing Home, and the 3rd floor tower at Baptist Memorial Hospital GT. Funeral services will be Saturday May 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Chapel with the Bro. David Westmoreland officiating. Visitation will be Friday May 5, 2006 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
