Mary W. Baucom Tuscaloosa Alabama/Columbus MS - Mary W. Baucom 78 died May 6, 2006 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa AL. Mrs. Baucom was born on November 21, 1927 in Vulcan Village England to the late John Charles and Mary Alice Hannon Rigby. She moved to the United States when she was 19 years old and spent most of her live in Lowndes County Mississippi before moving to Tuscaloosa 10 years ago. She was a member of Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired from Seminole Manufacturing Company. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Charles Baucom, one son Henry Charles Baucom, and two sisters Rose Flora and Shelia Vanblericon. Funeral services will be Monday May 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Phil Boyles officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 6 until 9 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include Daughter: Shelia B. Atkins of Tuscaloosa AL. Sons: J.D. Baucom (Kathy) of Caledonia MS, John Baucom (Teresa) of Benton LA, Otis Baucom (Debra) of Columbus MS, Floyd Baucom of Tuscaloosa AL, Harry Baucom (Dorothy) of Tuscaloosa AL. 17 Grandchildren: 19 Great Grandchildren: and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Sister: Barbara Shaw of Columbus MS. Pallbearers will be Grandsons will serve as pallbearers Honorary Pallbearers will be his nephews.
