Charles Chuck Henry Nickles III, 55, of Fairhope, AL died unexpectedly on May 6, 2012, in Gulfport, MS. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday May 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at True Life Worship Center in Caledonia, with Rev. Bob Wilbur officiating. Inurnment will follow at Rowan Cemetery. Born in 1956, Chuck graduated from Caledonia High School in Caledonia, MS and was a member of Caledonia Presbyterian Church. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, he went on to receive a Bachelor of Business Degree from Mississippi State University. After several years in restaurant management, Chuck was able to help keep his family's business alive, "The Landmark Cafe", in Caledonia. Most recently, he was the General Manager of the Athelstan Club in Mobile, AL. An active member of Lakewood Country Club in Fairhope, Chuck enjoyed all sports, his first love being golf. Always trying to improve his game, he continued taking lessons to refresh his skills. Chuck also enjoyed boating and the beautiful sunsets over Mobile Bay. Because of his zest for living, Chuck made the decision to help others by being an organ donor. Chuck was predeceased by his father, Charles Henry Nickles II. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Natalya; his mother, Elizabeth Pickett; his sister, Charlotte Baucom; and two brothers, Jeffery Nickles and Jason Nickles. In addition to these, Chuck will be cherished by an extended family and many, many special friends.
