Ressie Lee Price age 82 of Columbus passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Lammons officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Price was born on Monday, March 26, 1928 in Columbus, MS to the late Roscoe and Emma Ruth Richardson. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She retired after 33 years from United Technologies. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby and Billy Richardson, and her sister Laura Davis. Survivors include her husband of 62 years Dewey Price, Columbus, MS; two daughters Brenda Barksdale (Roy), Columbus, MS Ruth White (Mickey), Van Cleave, MS; one son James Price (Karen), Columbus, MS; one brother Charles Richardson (Tommie), Columbus, MS, 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to Ressies caregivers, Heather Verdin and Dawn Jewel. The Pallbearers will be Scotty Richardson, Chris Price, Kevin Richardson, Brian Barksdale, Tony Price, Duston Price, and Chad Price.
