He was a member of Shaffer's Chapel United Methodist Church, the Columbus Dulcimer Group and was the retired owner/operator of Chuck's Digging Service. He was an avid supporter of the Columbus Police Department and was a graduate of the Citizen's Police Academy. he enjoyed cooking for special occasions and was known for this catfish, hushpuppies, and cole slaw.
