Mr. Brock Alexander Dickerson, 41, passed away Thursday November 23, 2006 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo,MS. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 26, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sam Morris and Pastor Stacy Madison officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, November 25, 2006 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Brock was born on June 26, 1965 in Tennessee to the late Malcom Alexander Dickerson and Nancy Brock Dickerson. He was a 1984 graduate of S.D. Lee High School and served as Assistant Chief for the Auxiliary Police Department of Columbus from 1993 to 2006. He served the children of Columbus as McGruff the Crime Dog, He was also, a member of the Blue Knights. He loved to make people laugh and spent his life serving others. His attitude inspired all that he met. He worked at Greenline Equipment, Napa, Rexs Rentals, and Memorial Funeral Home. He is survived by his Mother, Nancy (Brock) Dickerson of Columbus, Miss.; Sisters, Abby (Mike) Davis and Heather (Stacey ) Madison of Columbus; Nephew, Scottie Davis; Nieces, Emma Rose Davis, Blair Madison, and Stephanie Madison; and many beloved uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. The Pallbearers will be Barry Goode, Carl Kemp, Neil Taylor, Glenn Culpepper, Gary Moore, and Larry Smith. The Honorary Pallbearers will be TheColumbus Police Department, The Former Columbus Police Department ,Blue Knights, Bud Egger, Dr. Jack Reed, Dr. Jason Dunn, Dr. Chris Lebrun, Greg Puckett, Gilbert Spencer, Charlie Holtzlander, and all of those people who came in contact with Brock during his journey.
