Dr. Lloyd G. Groh Columbus Mississippi - Dr. Lloyd G. Groh 85 died January 27, 2006 at his residence in Columbus. Dr. Groh was born on March 12, 1920 in Munising Michigan to the late William Henry and Anna Tyler Groh. He was called home by his Lord on January 27, 2006 at his residence in Columbus. Dr. Groh began his adult life with the Army Medical Corp. from 1941-1945. Afterwards, he began his medical education at Big Rapids Pharmaceutical College in Big Rapids Michigan. He continued his higher education by attending and graduating from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport Iowa in 1950. He was president of the Mississippi Chiropractic Association in 1963 and served as Secretary/Treasurer in 1987. He was chairman of the MS Chiropractic Association Peer Review Board in 1977, 1980, and 1982. "Doc" loved his Lord most of all, but his family was loved most here on earth. His practice, his gift of life, filled his days with his patients. He enjoyed visits and dinners with friends and family. He was a blessing and inspiration to so many people and will be missed and remembered forever. In addition to is parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Patrick Groh and 7 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be Monday January 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Loden and Rev. James Gardner officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 5 til 8 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include Daughters: Micki Joell of Dadeville AL, Connie Sheperd (Darrell) of Columbus MS, Bonnie Sue Chaltry (Tim) of Columbus MS. Son: Bob Groh (Peggy) of West Palm Beach FL. Grandchildren: Stephanie Chaltry, Derek Chaltry, Jamie Groh, Kyle Groh, Hayley Beeson, and Amanda Parker 7 Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Ron Cooke, Charley Crawford, Dennis Erby, Fred Hayslett, Danny Lollar, Bob Taylor, James Walters Honorary Pallbearers will be Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Edwin Chance, Robert Diamond, Bryan Owings, Baptist Memorial Hospice, Memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children P.O.
