Bobby Bardwell

BOBBY BARDWELL Charles Robert "Bobby" Bardwell age 63 died Monday, January 17, 2011 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 6:00 PM at Shaffer's Chapel United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Bobby was born on Sunday, July 13, 1947 in Columbus, MS to the late Charles F. and Marie Maxwell Bardwell. He graduated from S. D. Lee High School in the class of 1968. He attended East Mississippi Junior College, and The University of Southern Mississippi. Bobby began his work career as a police officer in Columbus, MS. He moved to Texas in the 70s and worked at Acme Brick Company. He moved back home to Columbus in the early 90s and ended his work career as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Lowndes County Sheriffs Department. Bobbys great hobby was motorcycles. He belonged to the Christian Motorcycle Association, The Blue Knights, and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He loved riding, working at rallies and meeting people. Bobby was also a member of the Friendly City Sam Camping Club. Bobby enjoyed fishing when his health would allow. Bobby was a member of Shaeffers Chapel United Methodist Church and loved to sing in the church choir. He had a love for Southern Gospel Music and played bass guitar with the Newborn Quartet for a period of time. Health issues caused Bobby to have to slow down in the past couple of years but he still loved people and getting together each morning with the biscuit club at Hardees on Hwy 45 north. He loved visiting and spending time with his family. He was a great husband, brother and friend and will be sorely missed by all until we see him again in heaven.
