Mack Rook Stallings Age 87 Died July 16, 2006 at Homeplace Assisted Living in Columbus, MS Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Dr. Shawn Parker Officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eupora City Cemetery in Eupora MS. Mr. Stallings was born on April 29, 1919 in Maben MS to the late William Mack and Eva Harpole Stallings. He was a member of Columbus First Baptist Church, and a retired driver for Continental Trailways Bus Lines. He was a 1939 graduate of Vardaman High School and a 1941 graduate of Northwest Mississippi Junior College. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rugene Pogue Graves Stallings. Survivors include: Daughter-Dr. Shirley Graves-Modell and her husband Dr. Jerome Modell of Gainesville, Fla., Sister-Doyce Mitchell of Madison, Miss., A number of nieces and nephews- Pallbearer-Lavelle Brown Pallbearer-Hugh Brown Pallbearer-Bruce Brown Pallbearer-John Foster Pallbearer-Bunk Harpole Pallbearer-Jimmy Isonhood Pallbearer-Jimmy McGarr Pallbearer-Jimmy Stallings Honorary Pallbearers-Gene Foster, Stanley Harpole, and Johnny Clemmons.
