MARY CATHERINE GIBSON Mary Catherine Gibson Age 88 died May 31, 2007 at Aurora Australis Lodge in Columbus, MS Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Dr. Shawn Parker Officiating burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, June 4, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Mrs. Gibson was born on May 8, 1919 in Lowndes County to the late Albert Sidney and Linnie Seals Franks. She was a member of First Baptist Church and longtime president of her Sunday School Class. She was a beautician until she was eighty years old and a member of the hairdressers association, the Craft Club, and the Rebeckah Lodge. She was a great mother, cook and a friend to all. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James William Gibson and one grandson Brandon Gibson. survivors include: Son-James Wayne Gibson (Bobbie Jean) of Columbus, Miss. Son-Cecil Jerome "Jerry" Gibson (Karen) of Columbus, Miss. Son-Joe Raymond "Buster" Gibson of Columbus, Miss. Brother-Albert Sidney Franks (Jackie) of Leeds, Ala.
