2014, at his residence. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 13,
2014 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. Steve Lammons
officiating. Visitation will beFriday, June 13,2014 from 1:00 PM to until
1:45 PM at Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Edwards was born August 26, 1922, in Crawford, MS, to the late John
H. and Eva Upton Edwards. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United
States Army and member of the VFW. Mr. Edwards retired from Johnston
Tombigbee and enjoyed gardening, bush hogging, mowing yards, tinkering with
tractors, watching great grandchildren play, and watching movies. He was a
member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and in addition to his parents, was
preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Corinne E. Edwards.
Survivors include his daughters, Patricia Carroll and her husband Chuck
of Columbus, MS, Diane Lowrimore and her husband Ernest of Crawford, MS,
Brenda G. Campbell and her husband Charles of Columbus, MS, and Debbie
Lancaster and her husband Danny of Ethelsville, AL, sister, Mary Ann James
of Laurel, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Blake Carroll, Brett Carroll, Michael Young, Eric
Lowrimore, Drew Lowrimore, Scotty Perrigen, and Jonathan Goodman.
