ED RILEY James Edward "Ed" Riley age 88 died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. Services will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Whitney officiating, burial with military honors will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home Monday, March 14, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Mr. Riley was born on Tuesday, December 12, 1922 in Kosciusko, MS to the late Richard Bell and Neva Burns Riley. He was a member and lifelong deacon at Grace Baptist Church, and a graduate of Kosciusko High School and Holmes Community College. Mr. Riley served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a retired bus driver for Trailways Bus Lines having reached a milestone of 2 million miles with no accidents. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Jean Thweat Riley, his daughter Cindy Riley Byars, and his brother Ralph A. Riley.
