Carrie Nell Fuqua, 89, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2008 in the company of her family. She was born July 22, 1918 in Columbus, Mississippi and was graduated from Mississippi State College for Women. She was a devoted wife and wonderful mother who unselfishly followed her husband throughout his corporate career including assignments in Australia, Pakistan, and Okinawa. She never took the best part of anything for herself. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Mack C. Fuqua; her two sons, John D. Fuqua and his wife, Dale, of Crestview, Florida, and David M. Fuqua and his wife, Debra, of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kevin Fuqua and his wife Rebecca of Prairieview, Louisiana, Jeanne Landry and her husband Troy of Atlanta, Georgia, Matthew Fuqua of Cabot, Arkansas, Wade Fuqua of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Lauren Spencer of Benton, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Jack Fuqua, Ryan Fuqua, Sydney Fuqua, Ashlynn Landry, and Camren Landry. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 22 at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbus, Mississippi followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m., at Friendship Cemetery.
