BUDDY HOUSE Walter Warren "Buddy" House, Sr. Age 85 died September 11, 2008 at Aurora Australis Lodge after battling Alzheimers for the past 10 years. Services will be held at Community Baptist Church on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wes Jones Officiating burial will follow at Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Mr. House was born on February 10, 1923 in Monroe County to the late Walter and Bessie Easter House. He attended Hamilton High School and Traders Training Institute. He was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne and fought in the Rhineland Theater in Germany in January of 1945. Buddy married Mary Sue Stark on May 21, 1948 in Wren MS by Bro. W.C. Ballard. He worked as a supervisor at Comer Electric in Chicago, IL and a supervisor at Beneke and Johnston Tombigbee in Columbus. Because of his love of fishing, during his retirement years, he along with his wife Sue operated the Catfish Lakes in East Columbus. He also was president of the Friendly City CB Club in 1977 and vice-president in 1976. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandsons Joshua and James Daniel House and sisters Geneva Smithson, Bessie Lou McDaniel, and Jimmie Sue Schrock Survivors include: Wife-Sue House of Columbus, Miss. Daughter-Betty Ann House Brewer (Phil) of Murfreesboro, Tenn. Daughter-Betsy Sue House Brackin (Ronnie) of Columbus, Miss. Daughter-Mary Lynn House Bryant (Mike) of Panama City, Fla. Son-Walter W. House, Jr. (Patricia) of Lake Village, Ark. Son-Johnny B. House of Columbus, Miss. Son-Stanley W. House of Columbus, Miss. Son-Rance House (Belinda) of Columbus, Miss. Son-Robert E. House (Chris) of Lynn Haven, Fla. Son-Roger Dale House (Peggy) of St. Cloud, FL Sister-Jean Winders of Mooreville, Miss. Sister-Joyce Reeves of Tupelo, Miss. 35 Grandchildren, 44 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. The Pallbearers are -Joey House -Michael Bryant -David Brackin -Jacob Brackin -R. D.
