Mrs. Irene Florence (Thye) Hurt, 82 ,of Columbus passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus , MS . Mrs. Hurt was born on Wednesday, April 2, 1924, to the late Adolph H. Thye and Florence Knabe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Hurt; and sister Gladys Thye. She is survived by her daughters: Patricia Brock ( Kent ) of Columbus , Miss. and Linda Hurt of Colorado ; son, Stuart Hurt (Carol) of Colorado ; brother, Raymond Thye; and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted by Hurst-Scott Funeral Home, at Green Hills Memory Garden Cemetery in Richlands Virginia at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007.Memorial Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
