BILL BRUMLEY James Billy "Bill" Brumley Age 81 died December 19, 2007 at his Residence in Columbus Services will be held at 7th Street Church of Christ on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Craig Bean and Billy Ferguson Officiating burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at 7th Street Church of Christ on Friday, December 21, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again 1 hour prior to service at the church. Mr. Brumley was born in Fulton MS on December 26, 1925 to the late Ben Allen and Bama Sumners Brumley. He was a member of 7th Steet Church of Christ where he was a Bible Class Teacher, and served as an Elder for 25 Years. Mr. Brumley was a graduate of Itawamba County Agricultural High School, held a BS Degree from Harding University, and a Master's from Mississippi State University. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a teacher and coach at Shannon High School, Aberdeen High School, Lee High in Columbus. He served as a football and basketball official for 25 years at the high school, jr. college, college levels, and in the SEC, and was elected to the Mississippi Coaches Hall of Fame in 1993. He was the former owner/operator of Brumley's Sporting Goods, and Arrow Fence Company, a member of Columbus Rotary, YMCA Board of Directors, and the Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings. survivors include: wife- Jackie W. Brumley of Columbus MS Son-Terry Brumley (Ellen) of Columbus, Miss.
