Lela B. Ray Mrs. Ray was born September 13, 1931 in Lyndon Kansas to the late Leland and Hazel Humphrey Duff. She was a member of Main Street Presbyterian Church where she was active in Missionary Support. She was a retired secretary for the base exchange at Columbus Air Force Base. After her retirement she spent her time volunteering for many organizations some of which included the Columbus Police Dept., the ACT Center, and being a pink lady at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband James "Neighbor" Ray and her step-daughter Ann Ray. Funeral services will be Sunday August 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Main Street Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Danner. Visitation will be Saturday 6 until 8 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include her Daughter: Karen R. Rickard (Bobby) of Columbus MS, Sons: Mike Rager (Donna) of Waterloo AL, Howard Rager (Lynn) of Ethelsville AL. Grandchildren: Melissa Ward, Lori Cargile, Howard Rager, Bobby Wood, and Tracy Rager Great Grandchildren: 9 and Great-Great Grandchildren, Sisters: Millie Blackwood of Kansas, Barbara Turnquist of Hot Springs AR, Velma Bauck of Topeka KS, Betty Lewis of Garnet KS .
