JASON FONDREN - Michael "Jason" Fondren, age 40, of Columbus, MS went to be with the Lord at his home on September 15, 2009. Funeral services will be Friday, September 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Bray officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Beersheba Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Jason was born January 9, 1969 in Chattanooga, TN to his mother, Dorothy Beason, and his late father, John Fondren. He graduated from Lee High School in 1987 and attended East Mississippi Community College and Mississippi State University. He was currently employed with General Nutrician Center in Starkville and attended Shaeffer's Chapel United Methodist Church. Jason was preceded in death by his father, John Fondren, and grandparents, Jake and Etoyle Fondren of Columbus, MS, and Everett and Nealie Dobbs of Norton, VA. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Dorothy and Rufus Beason of Columbus, MS, brother, Greg Fondren (Jennifer) of Pickensville, AL, sister, Cherie Phillips of Texarkana, TX, very special nephews, Joseph Savage, Dylan Fondren and Scott Fondren, and a very special niece, Heather Savage, all of Columbus, MS and many dearly beloved aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be Foster Lindsey, Jacky Triplett, John Ford, Howard Ferguson, Billy Ford, and Matt Fondren
