"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints" Psalms 116:15. Mrs. Ora Mae Ledlow born August 26, 1911 wife of the late Fred Ledlow, went home to be with the Lord October 21, 2006. "To die is gain" Phillipians 1:21 ". To depart and be with Christ is far better" Phillipians 1:23. Mrs Ledlow was a Christian lady who loved her family, church, and friends. She "looked well to the ways of her household." She was a wonderful cook and her chocolate and pecan pies were the best. She had a garden and worked daily in her yard until she was 92. She loved to play canasta and dominos and on her resent 95th birthday she played and won the game. She leaves behind one sister Elizabeth Comans, daughters Carolyn Ward the wife of the late Duck Ward, Judy Blanton and her husband Walter, one son Ken Ledlow and his wife Joyce, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Ledlow was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and she loved her Sunday School Class friends. She had a love for missons and was in charge of The Lottie Moon offering until she was 90. We love and will miss her. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday October 22, 2006 from 2:30 until 3:30. Graveside services will be held at Decatur City Cemetery in Decatur MS on Monday October 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be served following the service for family and friends at Clarke Venable Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Lantz Blanton, Shane Blanton, Walter Blanton, Travis Ledlow, Dallas Ledlow, and Robert Mitchell.
