STEVE HUNTER Stephen Joel Hunter age 58 went home to be with his Lord, Thursday, October 13, 2011 at his residence. Services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Gillon officiating, burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home two hours prior to service. Steve was born on Monday, June 22, 1953 in Washington, DC to the late William Everett and Ella Inez McCoy Hunter. He was retired from the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks after 20 years of service. Steve was a Christian; he loved his God, his wife, his children, and the Bible. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Al Hunter. Survivors include: His wife of 29 years: Gerri Hunter Columbus MS Two Daughters: Leah Runnels (Richard), Columbus, MS Christie Pate (Kenneth), Columbus, MS One Sister: Carol Johnston (Brian), Germantown, TN Three Grandchildren: Brandon Lee Runnels Starr Michelle Pate Joshua Andrew Runnels Steve was loved by everyone, especially his family and friends.
