JAMES E. ROBERTSON James Edgar Robertson Sr. age 78 died Friday, August 03, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Columbus. Services will be held Monday, August 06, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Harding officiating. Burial with U.S. Air Force Honors, will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mr. Robertson was born on January 10, 1934 in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Willie and Bernice Robertson. He attended Kolola Springs Baptist Church, and was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Vietnam War. After his military service he worked civil service at the base in the fire department. Mr. Robertson was born into a large family, and family continued to be his focus throughout his lifetime. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Nellie Dare Robertson, and Mattie Robertson Tilley, and his brothers, Thomas and Walter Robertson. .
