DR. CHARLES EDGAR ED MORRISON Dr.Charles Edgar Ed Morrison age 59 died Sunday February 11, 2007 at his residence in Columbus. Dr. Morrison was born on September 8, 1947 in Chelsea, MA to Dr. James Urban Morrison, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Galloway. He graduated from R.H. Watkins High School, Millsaps College, and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. For twenty-five years, he was a practicing urologist and partner at Columbus Urology Group. Dr. Morrison enjoyed spending time with his family and friends from the church, tennis club, fitness center, and hospital. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jeanie Morrison of Columbus, Ms; daughters Amanda Morrison Palmer of Baltimore, MD and Macey Morrison of Columbus, MS, and sons Chad Morrison of Richmond, VA and Matthew Morrison of Columbus. He is also survived by his brothers James Morrison of Tampa, FL, Robert Thomas Morrison of Laurel, William Morrison of Laurel, and sisters Mary Louise Markham of Slidell, LA, and Elizabeth Johnson of Gulfport. Pallbearers will be Jim Morrison, Tom Morrison, Bill Morrison, Sam Chabani, Dr. Bob Howland, and Scott Perkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Barrett, John Beard, Juddy Boyd, Dr. Brad Brown, David Dunn, Rick Garner, Dr. Bill Gates, Dr. John McBrayer, Adam Palmer, and John Stoops. Visitation will be held from 10 - 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 15 at the First United Methodist Church, 602 Main St., Columbus, MS 39701 The funeral service will follow visitation immediately in the church sanctuary with Dr. Sam Morris officiating. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
