MAE DOUGHTY Mae Weathers Doughty, age 91, died Thursday, December 08, 2011 at Trinity Healthcare Center in Columbus. Services will be held Sunday ,December 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mrs. Doughty was born on Tuesday, April 6, 1920 in Millport, AL to the late William Oscar and Virginia Gilliam Weathers. She was member of First Baptist Church Columbus, a retired saleslady for Sears & Roebuck and a former member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband John Floyd Doughty. She is survived by one son John H. Doughty (Joyce), Dry Creek, LA and two daughters Nancy Magnani (Frank), Palmetto Bay, FL and Cindy Jernigan (Eddie), Columbus, MS, 5 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. The Pallbearers will be Jeremy Klutts, Leon Ellis, Richard Doughty, Billy Williamson, Don Woodstock, and Mike Perkerson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1383 Pleasant Hill Road Columbus MS 39702.
