HOMER McDILL Jessie Homer McDill age 87 died Monday, June 02, 2014 at West Alabama Hospice in Tuscaloosa AL. Services will be held Thursday, June 05, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Blakeney, and Rev. Dan Finney officiating, burial with U.S. Navy honors, will follow at Andrew's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, June 04, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Mr. McDill was born on Monday, January 31, 1927 in Pickens County, AL to the late Jessie Manley and Arlie Woolbright McDill. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a retired truck driver. He was an avid craftsman, and a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Kyoko McDill. Survivors include: His wife: Elaine W. McDill, Ethelsville AL One Daughter: Beth Gray (Neal), Tuscaloosa, AL Two Sons: Dale McDill (Bobbie), Columbus, MS David McDill, Bandera, TX One Brother: Joe McDill (Tina), Waterloo, AL 5 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren The Pallbearers will be: Carl Ruffin, Kenny Wright, Gene Wright, Darrell Harbin, Brett Stroud, Armon McDill, and Steve Smith The Honorary Pallbearers will be: Raymond Howard, Emmitt Kyle, W.D. McDill, and Little John McDill.
