Mary Joyce Ricks age 71 died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Black officiating, burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Monday, April 28, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM

Mrs. Ricks was born on Thursday, July 02, 1942 in Columbus to the late Samuel H. and Mary Reese Lawrence. She was a longtime member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church, and a retired secretary from Mississippi Valley Gas after 42 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie E. Ricks, Sr.
