ROBERT HENRY CHISM Robert Henry Chism Age 85 died November 11, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Lammons officiating burial will follow at Mt. Zion Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Mr. Chism was born on January 3, 1922 in Columbus to the late James Ross and Addie Ashcraft Chism. He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran Serving under General George Pattons Third Army in the Battle of the Bulge, and allied occupied Germany. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a self employed Master Craftsman and re-modeled and restored many of the antebellum homes in this area, and was onced featured in Architectural Digest. In addtion to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Pennington Chism and one son Robert Marion Chism. survivors include: Son-Larry Chism (Shirley) of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Son-Jeff Chism (Bobbye) of Columbus, Miss. Son-David Chism (Lisa) of Vernon, Ala. Brother-James Douglas Chism of Ozark, Ala. Grandchild-David Michael Chism of Columbus, Miss. daughter-in-law-Deborah Chism Rackard of Columbus, Miss. 8 other Grandchildren 4 great Grandchildren Pallbearer-Bruce Hoffman, Commander Kay Perego, Tommy Patterson, Luke Atkins, Joe Ables and Billy Moore Memorials may be made to the VFW P.O.
