BILL HARRIS John Billie Harris age 66 was called home by his Lord and Savior Friday, February 01, 2013. Services will be held Monday, February 04, 2013 at 11:00 AM at New Covenant Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Whaley and Rev. Ed Nix officiating, burial with U.S. Army Honors will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home Sunday, February 03, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Mr. Harris was born on Thursday, November 28, 1946 in Millport, AL to the late Lavert and Annie Kate Sudduth Harris. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served 2 tours of duty in Viet Nam. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, a member of the, VFW Post 69, and the Steens Civic Center. He was the retired owner and operator of Harris Trucking after 46 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Tommy Harris. Survivors include: Wife: Betty A.
