Sheila Suggs Heatherly, age 57, of Columbus, MS, passed away July 21, 2014, at her residence. Graveside services will be Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery in Fulton, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, July 26, 2014, from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at Senter Funeral Home of Fulton. Memorial Funeral Home of Columbus, MS, is in charge ofarrangements. Mrs. Heatherly was born September 27, 1956, in Waukegan, IL, to thelate John Keary and Vonie Azilee Senter Suggs. She was a graduate of Fulton High School and received her undergraduate and master's degrees from Mississippi State University. Mrs. Heatherly taught school in the Columbus Municipal School District for twenty five years. She was a guitarist, singer, and song writer. Survivors include her son, Joshua Ian Heatherly of Southaven, MS, daughter, Lauren Heatherly of Columbus, MS, sisters, Sandra Carruth of Guntown, MS, Linda Kirk of NC, and Janie Claypool of Golden, MS, and pet dog Rascal. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
