Samuel Franklin Williams, Jr. age 68, of Starkville , MS died April 2, 2014 at his home in Starkville . Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. A private Scattering of his ashes will take place at a later date.

The only child of the late Samuel Franklin and Vera Imboden Williams, Sam Frank was born June 5, 1945 in Columbus , MS . He was a graduate of Stephen D. Lee High School in Columbus . He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from MS State University and was commissioned a 2LT in the U.S. Army through the ROTC program.

He was stationed in Korea while on active duty. He retired from the MS Regional Housing Authority as an Inspector after many years of employment. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Marisa Christiane Loftis Bruner.

He is survived by his step-daughter Marisa Loftis Bruner and her husband B.J. Macneill of Starkville and his brother-in-law Eric Loftis of Columbus and one cousin Helen Bundrick.
