Strickland Age 80 died March 24, 2008 at Golden Living Nursing Home in Amory, MS Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Mrs. Strickland was born on April 18, 1927 in Columbus to the late George Thomas and Annie Burks Blackston. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 1st husband Roy Blackston, her 2nd husband James Strickland, and her sons David Ray Blackston, and Clarence Albert Blackston. survivors include: Son-Larry Blackston of Caledonia, Miss. Brother-Robert Cecil Blackston of Sulligent, Ala.
