David Lee "Buddy" Wooten, age 68, of Columbus, MS died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle in Columbus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, June 7, 2010 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Memorial Fineral Home. Services will be Tuesday , June 8, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Living Faith Tabernacle Church in Columbus , with Rev. James Gardner, officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Born Wednesday, March 4, 1942 in Brooksville, MS, he was the son of the late James Wooten and the late Sarah Frances Perrigin Wooten. He grew up and lived all of his life in Columbus. Before he became disabled, he was self-employed as a brick mason. He attended Living Faith Tabernacle Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Collins and Margaret Morris. He is survived by his son, David D. Wooten and his daughters Crystal Howell (William) and Kimberly Kay Wooten , all of of Columbus, MS, brother, James Ray Wooten of Red Bay, AL, sisters, Barbara Butler (William)of Ragland, AL, Malinda Lever of Sulligent, AL, Shirley Honnoll (Thomas) of Tupelo, MS, and Monnie McCoy (Herbert) and Judy White (Phillip), both of Columbus, MS. and 7 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chris Berry, Arthur Pugh, Frankie Pugh, Bubba Shanks, Mike Raines and Cliff Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be David D. Wooten, Woodrow Howell, Ray Berry, Lonnie Bowen and Cliff Collins. Memorials may be made to Beersheba Cemetery Fund,1557 Mac Davis Rd., Columbus, MS 39702 or to the donor's favorite charity.
