Cora Mae Horst Harris passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Windsor Place in Columbus. The memorial service will be Friday, March 1, at 2 p.m. at Main Street Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service. Rev. David Strain will officiate assisted by Rev. David Carroll and Rev. Chad Watkins. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born October 31, 1919, in Malvern, Arkansas, to the late DeAlton John and Olive Stailey Horst. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Harris of Steens, and her son, John Robert Harris of Columbus. Her brothers, William, Howard and Albert Horst, and sisters, Marie H. Mattison and Louise H. Grant Simpson, also preceded her in death. Her daughter, Mary Lillian Wade and husband Bob survive her. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was a member of Main Street Presbyterian Church where she was married in 1939. She taught Sunday school for a number of years and was a member of the Women in the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Main Street Presbyterian Church, P.O.
