Mrs. Willodeen Gladys Fant Cox, age 88, died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital " Golden Triangle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Mickey Dalrymple officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery. The daughter of the late Claude Richard and Alpha Cantrell Fant, Mrs. Cox was born September 7, 1922 in Red Bay, AL. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Busy Bee Sewing Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Waymon W. Cox, her sister Shirley Mae Hildreth, and her brothers Eugene, Arnold and Durell Fant and a great granddaughter Mikayla Ferguson. She is survived by her daughter, Kitturia C. Godfrey, two grandsons Eric Ferguson (Mindy) and Daniel Ferguson (Gloria) and five great grandchildren Angel, Daylon, Leila, Skyler and Slade Ferguson, all of Columbus. Pallbearers will be Daniel Ferguson, Eric Ferguson, Daylon Ferguson, George Marshall, Richard Fant and George Goff.
