Bettie Livingston Williams, age 81, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at her sisters home in Steens, MS. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Galloway officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. The daughter of the late William Chester Chess and Annie Orene Harris Livingston, Mrs. Williams was born in Lowndes County, MS March 16, 1930. She attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was employed at Seminole Manufacturing and retired from United Technologies. She loved to sew and cook, and she baked the best homemade coconut cakes. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Bessie Lee Nichols and her husband Elmer Hubert Williams, who died February 13, 1989. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Evelyn L and Charles Abrams of Steens, Ms and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kenny Oswalt, Derrick Franks, David Livingston, Hiram Chain, Mike Rush, Mike Smith and Mitchell Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jason Dunn, Dr. Christopher Le Brun, and the nurses and Staff of Fresenius Medical Care. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of MS, P.O.
