Mrs. Gladys I. Sanders, age 83, of Columbus died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at her daughter's residence in Columbus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Services, with the Rev. Kenny Gardner and Rev. Phil Fancher, Antioch's pastor, officiating, will be Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00PM at Antioch Baptist Church in Winston County, Ms. Visitation, also at the church, will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Sanders was the daughter of the late David and Delia Sanders Huffman, and was born May 9, 1924 in Clay County, Ms . She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and had been a resident of Columbus since 1981. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Carl H. Sanders. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Sanders and her sister Mary Rounsaville, both of Columbus. Pallbearers will be Robert Rhoades, Bobby Beard, Cody Beard, Larry Daniel, Danny Daniel, Danny Edmonds, and Louis Varner. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Michael Duckworth, Dr. Doyle Sumrall and Baptist Memorial Hospice. Memorials may be made to Baptist Memorial Hospice, P.O. Box 1307, Columbus, Ms 39703.
