Virginia Mae Karg , age 84 ,died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus , MS. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home . Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Memorial. A second visitation will be held Monday, October 19, 2009 from 5:00PM to 8:00 PM at Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville, IL. Services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Campagna Funeral Home with burial to follow at Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. . The daughter of the late Harry and Mamie Lively Seyler, Mrs. Karg was born on Tuesday, May 05, 1925 in Johnson City, IL . She had lived in Columbus and Lowndes County since the early sixties. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ganeus Karg, her oldest son, Ricky J. Karg, brothers Don, Harry, Harold, Eugene, and Billy Seyler and a sister Maxine Seyler. She is survived by two daughters Lynda Thurmond ( Chuck), Gulf Shores, AL and Laurie Ellen Frances Rodgers (Roger), Williamson, GA and three sons Ronald Frank Karg, Randy Carl Karg (Connie) and Robert N. Karg ( Darlene), all of Columbus; two sisters Juanita Purcell, Phoenix, AZ and Berniece Willis, Sparta, IL. She is also survived by five granddaughters, Beth Thurmond, Courtney Kaiser, Kimberly Effert. Mandi Karg, and Ashley Godowns; three grandsons Robert Karg, Brian Karg, Jason Rodgers, and two great granddaughters Hannah Martin and Katelyn Godowns. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Windsor Place Nursing Home, 81 Windsor Blvd., Columbus, Ms 39702.
