Mr. Wille Ervin Welch, age 96, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, Ms. He is the son of the late George Welch and the late Mary (Carr) Welch. Mr. Welch was self employed for many years before working and retiring at Seitz Lumber company in West Point. He was a member of Kolola Springs Baptist Church and a WWII vetern of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Verla Studdard Welch and one son, Ervin Glendale. He is survived by his Two Daughters, Daughter-Judy (Welch) Garner (Jim) Daughter-Jane (Welch) Windle (Earl) of Caledonia, Miss; Two Sons, Son-Billy Welch (Sarah) of Caledonia, Miss. Son-Jimmy Welch of Columbia, Tenn; Nine grandchildren and Eleven great-grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by Memorial Funeral Home, 716 Second Ave North, Columbus, Miss., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to9:00 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Funeral service will be at Kolola Springs Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 21, 2006 , with Don Harding and Charlie Studdard officiating. Interment will be at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, Miss. Pallbearers will be: grandsons, Jason Windle, Brian Windle, Tim Welch, Steve Welch and David Garner, along with the granddaughter's spouses Steve Dancer, Rush Sweeny, MArk Nichols, and Jophn Baker. Honorary Pallbeares will be Vic Stephens, Jack Schamel, Myran Atkins, Joe King, Wayne Studdard, Dr. Edmond Miller, and the employees of the Dollar General and Shop and Save in Caledonia, MS.
