Olga Lassiter Thrash, age 87, of Columbus, MS died on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at her son's residence in Columbus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 Noon Wednesday until the time of the service at Memorial Funeral Home. The service will be at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Shawn Parker, officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Millport, Al. Born Tuesday, September 5, 1922 in Sweetwater, AL, she was the daughter of the late William Jasper and Nora Huckabee Lassiter. She had lived in Columbus since 1964, moving from Sunny South, AL. She had retained her church membership in the Sunny South Baptist Church, Sunny South, AL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theopoflous Thrash, her daughter Lillie Mae Thrash Reeves and her son Jerry Thrash. Mrs. Thrash is survived by her daughter Ruth Dunlap (Lacy) of Millport, AL, her sons, W.J. Thrash (Bama), Dennis "Sam" Thrash (Julia McMullin) and Bill Thrash (Candie) daughter -in -law Linda Thrash all of Columbus and son -in -law Eddie Reeves of Caledonia, MS. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Terry Thrash, Scott Thrash, Stevie Duncan, Howard Hughes, Tim Hughes and Jeremy Andrews. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Mauldin, Mark Thrash, T.J. McMullin and Joey McMullin.
