Patsy Cummings "Pat" Kaye, age 66, of Columbus, Miss., died Saturday, October 11, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, Miss. Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held in the Earline Robertson Room at St. Paul's Episcopal Church beginning at 12:30 Tuesday, October 14, 2008. The funeral service will follow at St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. James R. Carlyle, Rector of St. Paul's officiating. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, Miss. The daughter of the late Walter Dennis and Eunice Carter Cummings, Mrs. Kaye was born February 27, 1942 in Suttle, Al. She was a 1964 graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. degree in Education and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Early in their marriage the Kayes lived in Memphis for a short time, and Mrs. Kaye was a member of the Guild of St. Nicholas of Calvary Episcopal Church. A long-time resident of Columbus, Mrs. Kaye was a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Vestry, and the Daughters of the King and served as Eucharistic Minister, chairman of the Rector's search committee, and co-chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. She was a former Executive Director of the Columbus Arts Council, and Executive Director of the Davis Patty Museum of Art. She was one of the organizers of the Tennessee Williams Tribute and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Columbus-Lowndes Preservation Alliance. A charter member of the Falderal Society and the Krewe of Aries , she was also a member of Belle Fleur Garden Club. She is survived by her husband Samuel Harvey Kaye, of Columbus and three daughters Kimbellee Kaye Shirley of Troy, Ala. Elizabeth Kaye Bell (Chad) of Columbus, Miss. and Mary Catherine Kaye Bosler (Tim) of Evansville, Ind. and four grandchildren Daniel and Samantha Shirley, Kelly Bell and Seth Bosler. Pallbearers will be Bobby Harper, Jack White, Bob Wade, Mickey Brislin, Sid Caradine and Glenn Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be the Daughters of the King, the Vestry, Wayne Bryan, Bill Gillis, Mark Hardy, Bob Gilbert, Jack Kaye, Russ Grant, and John Crowell. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorials to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 318 College St., Columbus, Ms 39701.
